In 2012, she presented at International Psychology Conferences in China and Hong Kong and served as a Presenter and Delegate with the American Psychological Association at the 2014 International Psychology and Health Conference in Havana, Cuba. The latest State of Colorado Mental Health Sunset Review process resulted in the official title of registered psychotherapist changing to unlicensed psychotherapist, signed into law on 7/14/2020. All licensed and unlicensed psychotherapists are required to maintain registration and good standing with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) and both of these groups legally practice under the Mental Health Practice Act.

On a lighter note
Heather has lived, worked, and/or traveled in South America, Europe, U.S., Grand Cayman, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Australia, Cuba, China, and Hong Kong. She has been involved in Salsa, Nia, and Tango communities and has also worked as a Spanish, Kickboxing, and Gymnastics Instructor for both children and adults. Through her own personal journey with health and healing she has experienced the power within our bodies to heal when given the proper tools and support. She has completed doctoral level research on the relationship between mind, body, emotions, and spiritually integrated practice and well being relative to their roles in healing and self-empowerment. Heather's diverse background enables her to craft a unique experience in her collaborations. She works from a guiding philosophy, based in research, which asserts that individuals benefit when they fully participate in their own empowerment and healing process. While employing a variety of techniques, the bottom line to Heather's philosophy is that lasting healthy growth and learning are best achieved in the context of honest, open, accepting, safe, and joyful relationships.
